Ladybug Fund

Myong and Gene Caiafa are former Day Nursery Parents. Their sons, Jack, Charlie, and Grant graduated from the school in 2008, 2009 and 2013.

The Caiafa family’s love of the school and the teachers who make it such a special place prompted them to create the Ladybug Fund.

The Ladybug Fund was established in memory of Gene’s sister, Christine Caiafa Guarino. She was a schoolteacher who unfortunately passed away in 2005 after a three-year battle with brain cancer. She was 31 years old. As much as she loved teaching, it wasn’t always the easiest profession. Many times, she used her own money to further her education and give back to her students. With this in mind, The Ladybug Fund was established. Its goal is to raise funds that will be dedicated for the continuing education of the teachers at the nursery school. Often, funds for this purpose have been limited.

Since the ladybug Fund inception in 2007, many Day Nursery teachers have been able to further their education, pursue additional studies, and attend workshops that may not have been financially possible before the Ladybug Fund.

Please give generously to the Ladybug Fund, in support of our wonderful Day Nursery teachers.
