For the earlier half of this month, our students in Murray Hill have been learning more about clothes, such as how we dress in different seasons, what materials we use to make clothes, and the tools and units we use to measure articles of clothing or fabric. In time for the Halloween festivities, we are also exploring many facts about pumpkins, even including whether a pumpkin will sink or float in water! Needless to say, these topics provide great segues to our science explorations.
To add cohesion to our learning theme, we read books that center on clothes, such as Caps for Sale and Llama Llama Red Pajama.
